Key Responsibilities
- Provision AWS networking, ALB, EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFront, WAF and IAM using IaC
- Build GitHub Actions pipelines, container builds, ECR publishing and rolling deployment
- Implement environment configuration, secrets, encryption and least-privilege access
- Create logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, alerts and on-call procedures
- Automate backups, restore tests, patching and environment health checks
- Define SLOs, capacity baselines and scaling thresholds
- Support incidents, root-cause analysis and reliability improvements
- Control cloud cost, tagging, retention and operational hygiene
Essential Qualifications & Skills
- Hands-on AWS production engineering
- Docker, Linux, networking, TLS, DNS and reverse proxy
- GitHub Actions or equivalent CI/CD
- Terraform/CloudFormation or comparable IaC
- CloudWatch/observability and incident response
- RDS backup/recovery and secure secrets management
Expected outcomes
- Automate development, test, staging and production environments
- Deliver repeatable zero/low-downtime deployment
- Complete backup restore and failure-response tests
- Establish dashboards, alerts, SLOs and support runbooks
- Baseline cost, capacity and Year-3 scale triggers

What to expect if you join
The role works in a cross-functional, documentation-first and architecture-led product environment. Candidates must be comfortable with hands-on ownership, transparent decisions, code/design review, automated quality controls and production accountability. The six-month MVP excludes unnecessary microservices, Kubernetes, speculative AI and other scope not approved through product governance.
