Lead implementation of the Pulse Core Platform as a disciplined Java 21/Spring Boot modular monolith. Convert architecture into production code, coach engineers, maintain engineering quality and ensure secure, observable and maintainable delivery across all channels.

What you'll do and what you'll bring
Key Responsibilities
- Own backend technical design, coding standards, reviews and implementation quality
- Implement and enforce domain modules, ports/adapters, DTO boundaries and transaction rules
- Lead Spring Security, session/JWT and server-side authorisation implementation
- Guide REST/OpenAPI, database, Flyway and integration patterns
- Design automated unit, integration, architecture and security tests
- Resolve complex performance, concurrency and production defects
- Coach engineers and distribute ownership without creating bottlenecks
- Partner with DevOps on health, metrics, logs and deployment readiness
Essential Qualifications & Skills
- Java 17/21, Spring Boot, Spring Security and Maven expertise
- JPA/Hibernate, PostgreSQL, Flyway and transaction design
- REST API and OpenAPI design with secure DTO boundaries
- JUnit, Mockito, Testcontainers and CI quality gates
- DDD/modular-monolith experience and clean dependency management
- Production troubleshooting, performance analysis and technical mentoring

What to expect if you join
The role works in a cross-functional, documentation-first and architecture-led product environment. Candidates must be comfortable with hands-on ownership, transparent decisions, code/design review, automated quality controls and production accountability. The six-month MVP excludes unnecessary microservices, Kubernetes, speculative AI and other scope not approved through product governance.
